Why I Love What I Do
Hello, I’m David, and I would be honoured to capture your wedding day in a way that feels as real and unique as your love story.
My style is all about being in the moment, documenting the big, emotional highlights and the quiet, beautiful inbetweens that make your day truly yours.
Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Ever since I picked up an old handme down camera when I was five and took a picture of my Grandma sitting out in front of her house, surrounded by her flowers, I knew I was hooked.
I was lucky enough to take photography at secondary school, where I first learned to develop film in a darkroom. To this day, I can still recall the distinct smell of the darkroom chemicals, and I still have that first camera tucked away on a shelf, a little reminder of where it all began.
My journey into wedding photography started when a lovely friend gave me an incredible opportunity to be their second photographer. For two years, I honed my skills, learned the ins and outs of wedding days, and soaked up every bit of experience I could. That chance gave me the confidence to step out on my own, and I’m forever grateful for the trust and mentorship that helped me get to where I am today, without them I would never have refound my love of photography.
Weddings are where my love of photography and storytelling come to life. What I love most is seeing it all come together. There’s something so special about watching the months of planning unfold into heartfelt vows, joyous celebrations, and unforgettable memories. It’s those authentic, once-in-a-lifetime moments that I’m passionate about capturing for you.
I believe photography is about more than just beautiful images, it’s about creating a relaxed and fun experience where you feel comfortable enough to let your personality shine. I keep things lighthearted and easy-going, but always with a professional touch, so you can focus on what matters most: celebrating your love.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m likely strumming my guitar, catching a live music concert, or unwinding by playing some PC games.
Music and photography share a special place in my heart, both have the power to freeze a moment in time and make you feel something deeply.
My approach to photography is fun, relaxed, and easy-going while staying professional. I believe the best moments happen when you’re completely caught up in the day, and I’m there to capture them in the most genuine way possible. My goal? To give you timeless images that bring all those feelings rushing back every time you look at them.
