I class myself as a candid or documentary style photographer.
Basically I'm there to capture the magic as it happens and not to force anything.
Yes!
I offer free engagement sessions, within a 200 mile range of Bridlington.
I do!
I live in East Yorkshire and I'm happy to travel pretty much anywhere in the country. I don't charge any extra for travelling within two hundred miles of Bridlington, East Yorkshire.
I've done weddings in Lincolnshire, Rugby, York, Doncaster, even one in Yeovil years ago when first starting. I love visiting everywhere I can.
I can certainly offer advice, but won't be pushy on anything.
I love meeting and working with new people. I'm more than happy to work with a videographer!
I'm fully insured in Professional indemnity, Public and products liability and drone coverage too.
That depends on each wedding and the package, but generally speaking I don't clock watch. If you decide to go with my all day package, it usually starts at 9am and finishes at 9pm.
There's something so pure about a wedding, I'm a little bit of an old romantic and love seeing people make commitments to each other.
As soon as I did my first wedding, I fell in love with it and the emotions it brings.
I'm pretty sure I would still be doing something creative, my other big love is music.
I come from a family that run a small business (since 1986) and my mother has fostered my love of music (she was in a band and on TV in the 60s). So I'm pretty sure my creative passion comes from her side of the family and as a result I took piano and violin lessons as a child and now play the guitar extremely badly.
I'm a solo shooter but having been a second to a good friend for a number of years, I understand the importance of bringing a second shooter along and will happily make plans to bring someone as a second if you want me to.
While you don't need a second shooter, they can be handy to have at your wedding.
A second shooter is able to capture moments while I am otherwise engaged, for instance they could be with the groom's party, while I'm with the bridal party, etc.
My favorite wedding song, which includes alot of bad dancing whenever it comes on is "Walk The Moon's - Shut up and dance with me".
Sure! I prefer not to pose people, but if you really want an image you've seen, we can try to recreate it.
I'll happily meet for a coffee to see if you want to work with me, no offence taken if not.
If you're further away than two hours, or nothing lines up then I'm happy to do a zoom call and can be contacted as many times as you feel the need before your big day.
Generally I will take a look online if I've never shot there before. I'll also check a drone flight website to see if a drone is permitted.
I would love to!
I understand that while it might be a cliché, every wedding is unique.
I've had the pleasure of shooting a few LGBTQ+ weddings before and love being part of their day, I tailor everything to the couples needs.
The golden hour (hour before sunset) is usually the best time for newly wed photos, the light is softer than the rest of the day and you get a lovely warm glow that looks great in the photos.
I focus exclusively on still photography to ensure your story is captured with total concentration.
That's totally fine. Everyone is different and I'm more than happy to recommend some photographers in my local area if you wish.
My pricing reflects where I am in growing my solo wedding portfolio, while still bringing years of real wedding-day experience from second shooting and main shooting. I keep things transparent, relaxed, and fair.
