Every wedding is unique and special, but Tash & Adam’s felt like something more than that. From the very start, they felt like friends I’d never met before, and it was genuinely lovely to be there and watch them tie the knot. There was an ease and warmth about them that carried through the entire day.
Their wedding is one I’ll never forget. From the perfect summer’s day, sunburn included, to Tash refusing to let us go home and instead promising to find us a room at the hotel they were staying in. It was those small, unexpected moments that summed the day up perfectly and made it feel so personal.
Tash & Adam’s Unforgettable Wedding
Adam's Prep
Adam was getting ready at a local hotel in Woodhall Spa, while Tash was preparing elsewhere. As I was second shooting on the day alongside Aimee Lince, I spent most of the morning with Adam, documenting the quieter moments as the day began to take shape.
After arriving at his home, we began the journey over to Woodhall Spa. Thanks to the joys of Lincolnshire back roads and peak caravan season, it took a little longer than any of us would have liked. Still, the mood stayed relaxed and unhurried throughout. We arrived with plenty of time to spare.
Adam was already mostly ready by the time we arrived. This gave us the chance to focus on a few simple detail shots before he put on his tie and jacket. It was a calm, unpressured start to the day and set the tone nicely for what was still to come.
Ceremony
Once everyone was ready, we drove the few miles over to Abbey Farm Weddings, a lovely venue with a relaxed, rustic feel, surrounded by nature. The ceremony was held outdoors, and for once, the British weather didn’t try to spoil the day. Instead, we were treated to glorious sunshine and baking heat, making it feel unmistakably like the height of summer.
Adam looked effortlessly smart in his light stone suit, while Tash looked stunning in her bohemian lace wedding dress. Both felt perfectly suited to the setting and the relaxed tone of the day.
The outdoor ceremony suited them beautifully and was made even more special by a personal detail that meant a great deal to them both. Their wedding rings were crafted from gold they had panned themselves, a small but meaningful touch that reflected their personalities perfectly.
The ceremony itself was heartfelt and honest, with lovely readings and a few gentle moments of humour. At one point, I briefly became an honorary bridesmaid, fluffing Tash’s dress and accidentally creating one of my favourite images from the day, perfectly capturing her smile and giddiness.

Cocktail Hour
With the ceremony finished, cocktail hour began, complete with confetti, laughter, and a few competitive rounds of garden games. Guests relaxed into the afternoon, chatting, catching up, and enjoying the warmth of the day.
Abbey Farm Weddings was a stunning backdrop throughout, with the outdoor spaces in full bloom and filled with guests soaking up the sunshine and the easygoing atmosphere.
Wedding Breakfast
With it being August, the sun was still high in the sky as guests made their way into the wedding breakfast room. The light poured in through the open doors, helping to keep the space bright and relaxed as everyone settled into their seats.
A double row of seating led up to the top table, with the doors left open and a gentle breeze drifting through the room. This offered some welcome relief from the heat and set a calm tone for the afternoon ahead.
Golden Hour
As the sun began to set, golden hour arrived. The backdrop once again proved stunning as Tash and Adam were bathed in warm, soft light. The light softened everything around them, creating a calm pause in the day before the evening celebrations began.
Tash was giddy and giggling at every opportunity, soaking up every moment and clearly enjoying this quieter time together as the day slowly slipped into evening.
Reception
With night time fast approaching and evening guests beginning to arrive, the energy of the day shifted. The band struck up for the first dance and evening reception. The gardens slowly gave way to candlelight and movement, and the relaxed pace of the afternoon turned into something a little louder and a lot more joyful.
The evening was soundtracked by Pesky Alligators, a brilliant duo who immediately brought the energy, opening with 9 to 5, filling the space and drawing guests onto the dance floor for the rest of the night.
With the evening in full swing and a few ties already making their way onto people’s heads, it was time for me to begin the journey home. I left everyone to enjoy the party without a camera hovering nearby.
Thank you to Tash & Adam for such a wonderful wedding in the height of summer, one I’ll always treasure. Thank you for letting me be part of your day, and for the fun, warmth, and joy it brought. It truly felt like I’d known you both a lifetime, and I wish you all the happiness in the world.
